"All about Me" Books - A unique collage that expresses each personality

We used bleeding tissue paper -
Once again.....they turned out better then expected

Alexander Calder in 3D

We read Alexander Calder's Circus book and got inspired to set out making our own Sculpture.
Our Rocking Stabile materials: Clay, Wire, Rocks, buttons, thread, wood, pipe cleaners and more....

My favorite part was watching them present their sculpture to the class - I'm glad we had time to do this.

A little textile curricula.

Early February: City Skylines, Texture and Gray Scale

Students first designed their Skylines using white paint on a background of their choice.

Before the Paint dried they added texture to buildings etc... using a variety of tools.
Water Color was then added.  The texture created with the white appeared with this step.

I just love how each City is SO unique!

A Kindergardner's City makes me smile!
